The “steel” appearing in the King James Version is anachronistic. In 2 Samuel 22:35, Job 20:24, and Psalm 18:34 the Hebrew word is nechûshâh, which is actually copper or bronze. In Jeremiah 15:12 nechôsheth means made of copper.
